About Me
I have a decade of experience working with high-achieving adults and students. My training has given me specialized insight into the many opportunities and challenges that ambitious clients face when in elite and pressure-filled settings and when faced with life’s many changes.
My treatment specialties include anxiety and depression, body image and self esteem, family and relationship issues, life transitions like moves, break ups, new jobs, pregnancy, new parenthood, OCD, trauma, and self harm. I have also assessed and treated many clients with ADHD.
I use a variety of therapeutic techniques and interventions in my work including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, attachment theory, relational therapy, solutions-focused therapy, and more.
I received my Master of Social Work degree at The University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy and Practice. I trained in an Ivy League university counseling center and have provided therapy in several different academic settings, both at the college and graduate level and at the high school level.
Additionally, I have worked in eating disorder treatment centers at all levels of care. I have experience assessing for and treating Anorexia Nervosa, Atypical Anorexia, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, and Other Specified Feeding and Eating Disorders.
My private practice is largely remote, and I am licensed to provide therapy on the East Coast for clients based in Washington, D.C. and Maryland, as well as in Idaho and Wyoming. I began my practice in Washington, D.C., and practiced in person there for 6 years. I served as the most senior therapist on staff at The George Washington University’s Counseling and Psychological Services, providing therapy and consultation remotely, for several years.
During the COVID pandemic, my family and I seized the opportunity to work remotely and relocated to Teton Valley, Idaho. We have been long-time visitors to the area and have always dreamed of raising our family in the mountains. COVID provided the opportunity to turn this dream into reality.
I provide hiking therapy or walk and talk therapy to clients who are based locally in Teton Valley, Idaho and Jackson, Wyoming. Outside of work, I enjoy skiing, hiking, mountain biking, riding horses, and cooking new recipes.
Contact me to schedule your COMPLIMENTARY brief initial consultation for yourself or your loved one! I would be honored to work with you!

Sessions and Payment
Understanding the cost of therapy can be intimidating. I hope this information will help answer your questions about the affordability of therapy.
Rates and Insurance
I provide out of network services, which means I do not accept insurance or Medicare/Medicaid. I operate on a sliding scale and the fee depends on several factors. My rate typically slides from $175-$250/session per 50 minute session. My rates are comparable to the average cost of therapy in the different areas where I am licensed and where my clients are located. Clients are able to elect to pay by convenient credit card billing (or FSA/HSA card), which can be helpful to clients who would like to submit claims to their insurance for out of network reimbursement, or through Zelle. Each client that I work with has an online patient portal where you can access any documents you need for insurance reimbursement in a HIPPA compliant way that protects your personal health information.
Understanding mental health coverage
The Mental Health Parity Act requires your insurance to provide comparable coverage for mental and physical health issues. If your insurance plan covers out of network services, it should cover a portion of your therapy costs. Many of my clients submit their monthly therapy bills to their insurance company and receive insurance reimbursements within a few weeks with little hassle. Clients who use a health savings account (HSA) or a flexible spending account (FSA) save approximately an additional 30% by using pre-tax dollars to pay for your healthcare costs.
To determine your healthcare benefits, call the customer service number on the back of your insurance card and ask the following questions:
What is my out of network coverage for CPT code 90834 and 90837 (45 minute and 60 minute individual psychotherapy session)?
Is there a deductible that I need to meet before reimbursements apply? If so, how much is this deductible and when does this reset?
How do I submit claims for reimbursement?
How long does it usually take to get reimbursed?
Do I have a health savings or flex spending account that I can use?
